case study: Process Improvement

BACKGROUND Our client, a leading leisure and entertainment company, had undergone enormous change over the last two years following a significant integration project. The integration project doubled the responsibility of the department and complexity of operation. In the same period there had been a number of new product launches further complicating the business and the rate of change was expected to continue. This review identified opportunities to improve current performance and to prepare the department for future growth.
OUR ROLE Our approach was to review the department on 3 dimensions namely:
  • Process and technology
  • Management and operations
  • Outcomes – productivity and quality

To ‘future proof’ the business we recommended and implemented a series of initiatives.

RESULT Implementing the initiatives delivered:
  • A productivity uplift of 14%
  • Increased leadership capability
  • Enhanced reporting and metrics
  • A substantial reduction in the error rate
  • An effective BCP / DRP capability
